Limestone close to the surface
Plenty of lots hit rock before a post hole is deep enough. That can mean a rock auger or coring, and it can change the price. We would rather find it at the estimate than surprise you mid-job.
Sloped lots
Fence either steps down the grade in even increments or rakes to follow it. Stepping leaves gaps under the panels; raking keeps the bottom tight but is not possible with every material. We show you both on your actual grade.
Freeze and thaw
Posts set too shallow move with the ground here in a way they do not further south. Depth is not the place to save money.
HOA and historic review
Williamson County neighborhoods often specify material and height, and parts of Nashville have overlay districts with their own rules. We flag it before installation, not after.

What happens if you hit rock?
We tell you at the estimate if rock is likely, and how it changes the price. It is common enough in Middle Tennessee that pretending otherwise would just mean a change order later.
Stepped or raked on a slope?
Raked keeps the bottom of the fence tight to the ground and looks better on a steady grade. Stepped suits sharper drops and is required for some rigid panels. We decide it standing on the lot with you.
Do you install in Williamson County HOA neighborhoods?
Regularly. Bring us the architectural guidelines and we will spec the fence to match before it is quoted.
Can you fence a hillside back yard?
Yes. Steep lots take more posts and more layout time, and the quote will reflect that honestly rather than hiding it.
